Step behind the scenes and become a part of The Royal Shakespeare Company with exclusive access to the open rehearsal for their production of Henry VI: Part One.

After weeks of rehearsal for the first part of Shakespeare's thrilling Wars of the Roses trilogy, the RSC had to close its doors to accommodate COVID-19 restrictions. For the first time in history, The Royal Shakespeare Company decided to open the doors to their rehearsal process, making the most of their unprecedented situation. Filmed in the stunning Ashcroft Rehearsal room in Stratford-upon-Avon, directors Gregory Doran and Owen Horsley lead a talented cast through a full run of Henry VI: Part One.

Henry is proclaimed King of England after the death of his father. Following his coronation, unease and infighting grow as several political influences vie for power. Richard Plantagenet and the Duke of Somerset believe they both have a claim to the throne and ask the court noblemen to choose their allegiance. Meanwhile, in France, Joan la Pucelle, better known as Joan of Arc, rises up to lead the French army through a historic moment in the Hundred Years War.

Experience the magic of a rehearsal process with one of the world's most renowned theater companies.
